Rector Murataly Dzhamanbaev met with the World Bank mission led by Ahmed Merzouk, lead procurement specialist in Central Asia, at Kyrgyz State Technical University. Also, at the meeting were procurement specialists of the World Bank, Irina Goncharova, Azamat Syrgaev, Adis Medetov and the head of the Logistics department, Akylbek Umetaliev. This meeting aimed to discuss the establishment of the Logistics Center for Analysis of Public Procurement and Logistics in the logistics department.
This center will help to achieve sustainable capacity development in public procurement in Kyrgyzstan and provide training programs on the procurement policies and procedures of the World Bank. In addition, it will conduct independent research, analysis, and dissemination of information on the evolution, transparency and accountability of the national procurement system.
Today, a cooperation memorandum for 2020-2022 was signed.
