On September 12, 2023, a solemn ceremony of awarding state honors to citizens who have distinguished themselves with outstanding contributions to the country and its people took place at the Residence of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, "Ala-Archa". Earlier, on the occasion of Independence Day, President Sadyr Japarov signed a Decree "On awarding state honors of the Kyrgyz Republic".
The awards are given for significant contributions to the development of socio-economic, intellectual, and cultural potential, as well as notable achievements in professional activities.
The Director of the International Higher School of Logistics at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, Doctor of Economics, Professor Akylbek Saparbekovich Umetaliev, was awarded the "Dank" medal.
The ceremonial event was attended by doctors, educators, writers, engineers, specialists in emerging modern industries, and others who make a worthy contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
In his speech, the Head of State emphasized that just as every era has its heroes, so too in the recent history of Kyrgyzstan, patriotic figures have emerged who care for their country, set an example of devotion to the Motherland, and demonstrate special merits in various spheres for the benefit of the state.
