Looking Ahead: Logistics Development Strategies at an International Conference

On February 29, 2024, the International Scientific Conference "Strategic Trends in Logistics Development" took place. It was organized by the Department of Economic Theory and Management of the Russian University of Transport in collaboration with the International Higher School of Logistics at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.

The welcoming remarks at the conference were delivered by the Director of the International Higher School of Logistics, Doctor of Economics, Professor A.S. Umetaliev, who expressed gratitude to all participants for their presence and active participation. He also emphasized the importance of the chosen topic and the significance of scientific research in the field of logistics. Professor Umetaliev noted that this conference became a significant event in the academic life of both universities and provided a unique platform for the exchange of experiences, ideas, and the latest scientific achievements in the field of logistics. He expressed hope for productive discussions and mutual understanding among scholars from different countries.

The conference program included several research directions, such as:

  • Supply chain management as the ideology of modern business;
  • New paradigms and technologies in logistics and supply chain management;
  • Digital transformation of logistic business processes in supply chains;
  • Design of supply chains: the issue of insourcing/outsourcing choice;
  • Management of competitive supply chains under sanctions;
  • Security and sustainability of logistic systems and supply chains;
  • "Green" technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
