On April 22, 2024, the picturesque town of Lillafüred, Hungary, hosted the Central European Logistics Conference 2024. This significant event, organized by the Logistics Division of the Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Logistics Institute of the University of Miskolc, gathered leading specialists and researchers in the field of logistics from around the world.
The conference featured over 50 presentations covering a wide range of innovative topics. Special attention was given to artificial intelligence and the application of various digital solutions in logistics. Presentations on these topics generated significant interest among participants, as digitalization and AI are becoming increasingly important for optimizing logistics processes and improving the efficiency of companies.
The International High School of Logistics was represented at the conference by Director Professor Akylbek Saparbekovich Umetaliev, Associate Professor Azyk Abdykasymovna Orozonova, and doctoral candidates Tynchtyk Askerovich Mukanov and Asel Zhenishovna Mambetkulova. The participation of these specialists in the conference made a significant contribution to the exchange of experiences and knowledge among leading logistics schools and universities in Europe.
One of the key events of the conference was the signing of a strategic agreement between the University of Miskolc and East-West JSC, owner of the largest and most modern intermodal terminal in Europe. This partnership promises to become an exemplary model of cooperation between academic institutions and businesses, fostering high-quality education for logistics specialists and further developing the logistics sector in Hungary.
The conference also marked several important anniversaries. This year celebrates the 40th anniversary of logistics education and research at the University of Miskolc. Additionally, the 60th anniversary of the partnership between the University of Miskolc and the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, as well as the 10th anniversary of professional collaboration between the Graz University of Technology's Institute of Logistics Engineering and the Logistics Institute of the University of Miskolc, were celebrated.
The participation of the International High School of Logistics in the Central European Logistics Conference 2024 underscores the importance of international cooperation in logistics education and research. The knowledge gained and the connections established will contribute to the further development of logistics education in Kyrgyzstan and the preparation of highly qualified specialists ready to meet the modern challenges of the labor market.
We hope that such events will continue in the future, promoting the strengthening of international ties and the development of innovative solutions in the field of logistics.
