On June 10, 2024, the Rector of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (KSTU) met with Professor John Gretter from Kettering University (Michigan, USA). During the meeting, they discussed future plans for cooperation, including new educational programs and projects.
One of the key initiatives discussed was the introduction of the course "New Product/Enterprise Creation" under the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" direction. This course, planned for the 2024-2025 academic year, has received a second COIL grant under the IDEAS program from the US Government. The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to work through the steps necessary to turn a product or service into a real business model and to interact with students from different countries through international online learning.
On the same day, a professional development course for KSTU faculty on the topic "New Product/Enterprise Creation" was held. Participants received certificates upon completion of the course.
From 2022 to 2023, KSTU participated in the "Central Asia University Partnership Program" (UniCEN), funded by the US Government and coordinated by Kettering University. The results of the project include:
