On November 26, 2024, a scientific seminar for doctoral and master’s students on the topic “Modern methods of scientific research, structure and content of dissertations” was held at the IHCL. The event was attended by Professor Peter Tamás from the University of Miskolc and doctoral and master's students seeking to improve the quality of their scientific publications and prepare successful dissertations. Professor Peter Tamás is a recognized expert in his field, the author of numerous scientific publications and studies. In recent years, he has actively supported academic exchange and cooperation between the University of Miskolc (Hungary) and KSTU, and also takes part in the development of joint educational programs, including master's courses and double degree programs.

The following issues were raised during the seminar:

  • Review of the main methodologies and approaches to scientific research in the modern world.
  • Practical examples of successful research projects.
  • Consideration of innovative methods and their application in various fields of science.
  • Recommendations for building a logical and consistent structure of dissertation research.
  • Research methodology, tools and approaches used.
  • Analysis of the results and conclusions of the study.

During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to ask questions to Professor Peter Tamás about Hungary's experience in the field of logistics. Responding, he noted that Hungarian production logistics plays an important role in the country’s economy, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials from suppliers to production and consumers. Hungary is located in the center of Europe, which makes it a strategically important transport point.

One of the key elements of production logistics in Hungary is its developed infrastructure. The country has a network of roads and railways, as well as ports and airports that facilitate international transport. In addition, Hungarian companies actively use modern technologies and inventory management methods to optimize the processes of production and delivery of goods.

Thanks to active discussion, interesting aspects of scientific research, structure and content of dissertations were identified.

Summarizing the results, we can say that the seminar was held at a high level and aroused great interest among the participants.

We are confident that the knowledge gained will help doctoral and master's students improve the quality of their scientific publications and prepare successful dissertation projects.
