"The KSTU delegation strengthens international relations at the University of Miskolc"

Delegation of KSTU named after. I. Razzakova visited the University of Miskolc (Hungary) from January 28 to February 2, 2025 at the invitation of the Director of the Institute of Logistics, Peter Tamás.

The delegation included Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Erkingul Ibraevna Syrymbekova, Director of the International Higher School of Logistics Akylbek Saparbekovich Umetaliev and Kristina Petrovna Rifert, Deputy Director of the International Higher School of Logistics.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen international cooperation within the Pannonia project. Representatives of KSTU visited high-tech laboratories to simulate logistics processes, and also studied the possibilities of using the German Eclipse SUmo program to simulate urban mobility.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the international department of the University of Miskolc, where the delegation met its director Kristina Sandor, who spoke about the key areas of the university’s work and opportunities for further cooperation.

The delegation also held meetings with the deans of five institutes representing the areas of materials science, automation and infocommunications, energy engineering, chemical engineering, mining and geology. The prospects for academic mobility, joint educational programs and scientific projects were discussed.

A special moment of the visit was the solemn event - the director of the Moscow Higher School of Latvia, Umetaliev Akylbek Saparbekovich, was awarded the honorary title of Doctor of the University of Miskolc for his significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and scientific activities.

In addition, the delegation met with the rector of the University of Miskolc, Zita Horvath, with whom they discussed further strengthening the partnership between universities. It is expected that agreements will be signed to expand academic and scientific cooperation.

The visit of the KSTU delegation has ended, but there are still a number of events ahead aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation between universities.
