A cotton cluster is being created in Tokmak. Vice Prime Minister of the Republic Ravshanbek Sabirov said this at the ceremony of launching yarn production at Textile Trans LLC, the government's press service reports.
Sabirov noted that Tokmok has always been one of the industrial centers of both the Chui region and the republic as a whole.
“The government attaches great importance to the creation of this cluster. With the launch of yarn production in Kyrgyzstan, a cotton cluster is being created that has a full production cycle from growing raw cotton to exporting high quality finished garments, ”he said.
The government noted that with the launch of yarn production, conditions are created for deeper processing of cotton fiber produced at domestic cotton ginning factories.
In 2017, Textile Trans LLC was one of the first in the country to establish the production of cotton fabric and rolled knitted fabrics.
The launch of yarn production will allow expanding the cotton crop in the country to 67 thousand hectares, expanding the production of cottonseed oil, and creating conditions for the formation of a domestic feed base for the production of concentrates.
