On June 8, 2021, the Ministry, as part of the implementation of the human resources development project for food laboratories to improve the quality of milk and dairy products, signed on September 20, 2018, between the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held the Third Meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee.
At the meeting, a report on activities under the project from December 2019 - May 2021, an activity plan for the remaining period of the project, including an extended period, and Presentations of project activities by project partners on the topics: - laboratory audit report; - distance learning of measurement uncertainty; -distance training on seven principles of HACCP.
The goal of the project is to improve the system for assessing the conformity of the quality and safety of milk and dairy products released into circulation in accordance with the technical regulations of the EAEU.
The project consists of two components:
The first is the development of human resources of food laboratories to improve the quality of milk and dairy products,
The second is the control of food production processes based on the principles of HACCP.
Duration of the project is three and a half years (3.5)
Project location: Bishkek city and rural areas
Target groups of the Project:
-center for standardization and metrology under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic;
Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise in the Northern Region of the State Inspection for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic;
-district food testing centers.
To implement the project, working groups have been formed for laboratory tests and HACCP inspection under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic.
