“Smart Logistic”, with the support of the KyrSEFF program, has completed the construction of a modern logistics center in Bishkek with an area of eight thousand m2 and worth almost $500,000. It will promote the trade between Kyrgyzstan and the former Soviet Republics, and with other countries. This was reported by the press service of the KyrSEFF program.

The new logistics center is fully computerized and can be run by fewer than 50 people. All warehouses comply with the EAEU standards for food storage. The room has five tiers for storing goods of various sizes, and a seasonal room, convenient to store pharmaceutical products and small-sized valuables. At the same time, 15 freight cars can store goods in the warehouse.

KyrSEFF consultants assisted the Smart Logistic team to construct the center. They calculated that an investment of $467,000 in a renovation project of an old building with a focus on energy efficiency would save 453 MW/h of energy annually and reduce harmful CO2 emissions by 21 tons. The total savings in monetary terms would be almost $10.000 annually.

"Increasing energy efficiency increases the company's competitiveness. Thanks to the investment, we can provide 3PL services, a range of logistics services from delivery, point of use storage (POUS) and warehouse processing to supply chain management," said Aliakper Gabibov, CEO of Smart Logistic.

For the successful implementation of resource conservation measures under the KyrSEFF program, the logistics center was additionally awarded a grant from the European Union in the amount of 15% of the loan provided.
